CWN Community

Networking and camaraderie

Membership of CWN recognises your achievements and offers the opportunity to join a friendly and supportive network to connect with like-minded peers. Members also enjoy socialising on a regular basis at networking events such as our Summer and New Year Drinks and our quarterly members’ breakfasts.

In addition to the rich colour of the network today, through the breadth and depth of the professional women who are our members, the network has remained a social organisation where many women have learned from contacts they otherwise would not have met and, like myself for 40 years, have made enduring friendships.”

Monica Fisher, CWN Founder Member since 1978

Knowledge, ideas and development

CWN supports women as they seek to advance their careers or take their own businesses to the next level. CWN organises a programme of engaging and topical seminars and events that offer members the opportunity to further their professional and personal development, as well as corporate and fundraising dinners.

Our members have the opportunity to take part in debates and an exchange of ideas on the issues and challenges facing businesswomen today. CWN is all about collaboration and mutual support – providing a forum to tap into our collective thinking and share learning that will provide support and inspiration.

The growing diversity, both in discipline and sector, within CWN started becoming more apparent in the early 1990s and has continued to flourish. One of CWN’s greatest achievements has been its continued relevance in the lives of senior professional women today. Whilst our principles have endured, CWN has been able to continuously adapt under the tenure of its various presidents and has been sufficiently flexible to enable these leading women to bring their individuality to bear and strengthen our community.”

What our members are saying

“ I became a CWN member early in my career. I then worked abroad and came back to the network at a later stage. At all times I have found it relevant and helpful and not just for the networking and friendships. I have drawn ideas and inspiration that have helped me to make a contribution that is relevant.”
